The attrractive fan-shaped shells contain translucent, off white meat, wrapped with a bright orange roe or coral, which has a different taste and texture. Scallop meat is very tender with a sweet delicate flavour and requires very little cooking - the simpler the better. Best either steamed, pan fried or grilled. It is worth remembering that scallops are enjoyed by those who are not fond of other shellfish. Sourced from Falmouth Bay, these scallops are most definately worth tasting!
